John A. Epeneter, CPA/PFS, CFP®, CFS, CCPS, Master of Science in Financial Planning
John A. Epeneter is the sole officer and shareholder in the firm and is involved with all aspects of client services in the areas of tax return preparation , tax and business advice, investment, retirement, college, and estate planning, auditing, accounting, and preparation of many types of financial reports for startup and established closely-held businesses. Mr. Epeneter has also provided litigation support services and has represented taxpayers before the taxing authorities. During Mr. Epeneter's over 40 years of public accounting experience, he has serviced a wide range of industries, including nonprofit organizations, software consulting and development firms, wholesalers, retailers, manufacturers, professionals, and high net worth individuals. Mr. Epeneter received his Master of Science degree, with honors, in financial planning from the College of Financial Planning, and his Bachelor of Science in business administration from Suffolk University after receiving his accounting associates degree from Bentley School of Accounting and Finance (now Bentley College). Mr. Epeneter was awarded the Silver Medal by the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants for second place on the November 1966 national CPA examination. Mr. Epeneter is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner and a Personal Financial Specialist, the financial planning designation of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has also qualified for Certified Valuation Analyst, the business valuation designation of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts although he is not practicing at this time. He is a Certified Fund Specialist, a Registered Investment Advisor, and a Certified College Planning Specialist. Administrative Assistant Loretta M. Epeneter Loretta M. Epeneter has filled the administrative assistant role to both John A. Epeneter, PC and C.A.R.E. Asset Management and Strategies, Inc. for as long as these companies have existed. Prior to this role, she was an office manager for Datacon, Inc. for many years, a large tech company involved in many areas of special wiring for government and industry. Lorie has a Bachelar of Arts degree in Gerontology with honors from the University of Massachusetts Boston and has extensive experience dealing with elder issues. Loretta is a member of the National Gerontology Academic Honor and Professional Society of Sigma Phi Omega.
