How We Work With You – an outline
There are a number of steps in the financial planning process: 1) First, we need to define what it is you want from us, what types of services, when do you want them, what are your expectations, etc.,
2) Then we want to know what your dreams and goals are, both financial and nonfinancial; we want to know what has worked in your life and what has not; what you have, accomplished and what you have not,
3) Once we understand these things, we need information,
4) Then we will need to analyze the situation,
5) Next, we will develop some ideas, options, recommendations, directions, paths to take
6) Then, once agreement has been reached on which recommendations to accept, the plan will be implemented, meaning investments will be structured, retirement plans put in place, insurance purchased, estate and trust documents drafted, and so forth,
7) Finally, we will provide periodic ongoing review, analysis, and changes, if necessary.
How we help guide you through this process We can help articulating your financial and nonfinancial dreams and goals, and by assisting you in gaining a clearer understanding of what it might involve, what conflicts there may be, and what some of the stumbling blocks might be. We can help build a team of professionals – lawyers, insurance advisors, counselors, etc. – to draw upon their options, ideas, and advice, then involve them in the implementation process. If you do not already work with one or more professionals, we will provide you with names of people we have worked with. Going forward, we hope the financial planning process will give you greater peace of mind, better investment returns at lower risk, lower taxes, better protection against casualties, death, and creditors, more attention to dreams and goal achievement, and a better life.
